Summary
This decree establishes the Escuela Normal Mixta del Valle de Sula (Mixed Teacher Training School) in San Pedro Sula to train male and female teachers in that important industrial region of the country. The Ministries of Education and Finance have 30 days to carry out the necessary steps to make the school operational. The law benefits educators and students who needed a teacher training institution in the Valle de Sula region.

Whereas the Valle de Sula, despite being one of the most populated regions of the country, an industrial hub and important bastion for the development of Honduras, lacks a Normal School where teachers and female teachers are trained.

Create the MIXED NORMAL SCHOOL OF THE SULA VALLEY, which shall have its domicile in the municipality of San Pedro Sula, department of Cortés, and shall be responsible for the training of teachers, both male and female, in the aforementioned region of the country.
The State Secretariats in the Offices of Education and Finance shall carry out the technical, logistical, and financial measures necessary to comply with what is established in the preceding Article, within a period not exceeding thirty (30) days counted from the effective date of this Decree.
This Decree shall enter into force as of the day of its publication in the Official Gazette La Gaceta. Given in the city of Tegucigalpa, municipality of the Central District, in the Session Hall of the National Congress, on the eighth day of the month of December of two thousand nine.
