Mission

Leyes.HN exists so anyone in Honduras can find, read, and understand the law without paying, without opening an 80-page PDF, and without speaking Spanish as a first language if they don't. The law is public information. It should feel like it.

Free access

Search, AI summaries for every law, and the entire database are free for every visitor, registered or not — no daily quotas. Search understands plain-language questions and matches by meaning, not just exact words, so finding a law doesn't require knowing the exact legal terminology. The only limit is a small per-minute rate cap to keep bots out, which normal browsing never hits.

Decree 170-2006 (Law on Transparency and Access to Public Information) guarantees free access to information from the Honduran state. Leyes.HN operates in the spirit of that law.

What is in Leyes.HN?

Thousands of laws, decrees, regulations, and agreements published by the Honduran state. Our sources include the Electronic Center for Judicial Documentation and Information (CEDIJ), the Supreme Audit Tribunal (TSC), the Institute for Access to Public Information (IAIP), and La Gaceta. Each document includes:

How does it stay free?

With subscribers who can support it. Leyes.HN has optional plans (Pro and Despacho) for individuals and firms who can contribute. That contribution covers servers, AI costs, and ongoing development — keeping access free for those who cannot pay.
