This agreement reorganizes the Forest Information and Heritage Center (CIPF) by creating two new units: one for Forest Statistics to collect and analyze forest data, and another for Forest Monitoring to track fires, deforestation, and climate change. It benefits Honduras by improving forest management with technical and timely information.

Considerations

That within the powers granted to it by law is the administration of the Forest Conservation Institute and the exercise of its representation.

That the ICF is responsible for designing, formulating, coordinating, monitoring, executing, and evaluating policies related to the Forest Sector, Protected Areas, and Wildlife.

That it corresponds to the ICF to coordinate and execute policies related to the protection of forest resources, supervise and evaluate compliance with management plans for the conservation of forest areas, as well as execute activities for the control of fires, pests, and diseases in forest areas.

That it is to maintain an updated database in order to coordinate and effectively execute programs of utilization, protection, and restoration in national, private, and communal forest areas.

That effective supervision, control, and monitoring of forest management in areas with or without management is necessary and urgent, regardless of the type of forest soil deficiency.

That in order to simplify and rationalize administrative procedures, it is necessary to modify the structure of the Technical Departments, ensuring that these develop in accordance with the principles of economy, speed, and effectiveness, in order to improve the spirit of service, achieving prompt and effective satisfaction of interested parties.

That it is the exclusive responsibility of the ICF to create and modify the internal organization of the Forest Conservation Institute, Protected Areas, and Wildlife.
