Residency & Visas

Corporate visa

The corporate route ties residency to a company rather than to a personal income or asset figure. It covers people forming or operating a Honduran company, or being transferred here by one — a categorical path where an entity, in effect, sponsors your status.

This is general information, not legal advice, and rules can change. Because the corporate route overlaps with company and work setups, the right structure matters — confirm your specific situation with a Honduran immigration lawyer or the Instituto Nacional de Migración before you commit.

A categorical, entity-based route

Unlike Rentista, Pensionado or the bank-deposit route, the corporate category does not turn on a personal income or asset threshold. It turns on your relationship to a company — as a founder, operator, or transferee — so an entity effectively backs the residency.

Overlap with business and work setups

This route overlaps with forming a Honduran business and with work arrangements, and how you structure the company and your role in it can change which path is cleanest. Getting the structuring right early is worth it, because it affects both your residency and your ability to operate here.

Is it the right route?

If your plan involves a Honduran company or a transfer, the corporate route may fit better than the income or asset categories. To compare options, try the eligibility quiz, and see every residency route on the category landing page.
